Introduction
As the Design Manager for the Scout Observational Assessment App, I led the creation of a dynamic tool that enables teachers to document “in-the-moment” student learning on the Realize digital platform. Scout provides a dedicated dashboard for educators to record observations, make notes, upload media, and track student progress through ongoing assessments. It streamlines organization, allows easy updates to student data, and generates insightful reports to support student growth.
Problem Statement
The challenge was to enhance the traditional methods of documenting student progress by leveraging digital technology. Our goal was to facilitate real-time, comprehensive documentation and assessment of student growth that could be easily shared and used to inform future instruction.
