Redesign of enVision Mathematics

My Role
Design Manager, Creative Director

Scope
Print + Digital, K–12

Impact
Millions of students and teachers nationally

Introduction

Award-winning redesign serving millions of K–12 students nationally.

enVision Mathematics is one of the most widely used K–12 math programs in the country. I’ve been the design leader behind it for over a decade — navigating multiple full redesigns, the shift from mostly print to digital, and the  post-pandemic push to bring families into the learning experience and more nation-wide adoptions.

Problem Statement

The challenge was never just aesthetic. Each redesign had to respond to shifting educational standards, political pressures around curriculum, and the evolving reality of how students and teachers actually use these materials — at home, in classrooms, and everywhere in between.

The Team and Our Approach

Leadership in Redesign

Strategically led the redesign of both print and digital parts of the program.

Award-Winning Design

Art directed the rebranding of our product covers, emphasizing future STEAM careers to empower students in math.

Digital Innovation

Pioneered the transformation of print student materials into digital formats for classroom and home-school learning.

Design Goals

Successful Redesigns

Led multiple successful redesigns, keeping the program at the forefront of K-12 math education and outperforming competitors.

Digital Component Enhancement

Improved our digital offerings to align with modern educational standards and teaching methodologies with the addition of fun games and activities.

Innovative Family Engagement Product

Developed a new product to support family involvement in education, addressing a crucial post-pandemic need.

Conclusion

Over multiple redesign cycles, enVision has remained a market leader in K–12 math education — winning design awards, expanding into digital and family engagement, and continuing to reach millions of students nationally. The iDesign Award recognized the cover work, but what I’m most proud of is that the program kept working for real teachers and students through every iteration.
